The Mattinator

Laying his little hands on DJ gear at the age of 10, The Mattinator knew DJ’ing was not just a hobby but a passion. Begging his parents to buy him a small DJ system for Christmas it didn’t take him long to see the dream. At the age of 13 he got a regular slot at a nightclub in England (where he was born) and played to 150 people every weekend. Now, at the age of 18, a bit more mature and a lot more experience under his belt, he is part of New Zealand’s top mobile DJ and entertainment company – Addictive DJ’s.

Influenced by artists such as Laidback Luke, Bob Sinclair, Sidney Samson, Afrojack, Liam Keegan and the DJ’s From Mars, Matt’s style of “Electro-Pop, mash up” music is greatly appreciated throughout New Zealand, and he quite literally tears down the house when he is live. Matt has played in some of Tauranga’s finest nightclubs Temple, De Beir Haus and Coyotes. He also currently hosts a permanent Thursday night at Play Nightclub where he cranks out the latest top 40 remixes and also throws in some crazy party tunes that makes the crowd go wild! Matt is planning to take 2011 to a new high, producing his own tracks and remixes that are sure to be big club hits!
